NEW YORK PESTICIDE APPRENTICE COURSE
8 HOUR Pesticide Training Course - available in both english and spanish!
Before an individual in New York can apply general use pesticide products under the off-site direct supervision of a certified applicator they must receive the following training:
- 8 hours of Core training
- 40 hours of hands on pesticide use training.
- Once completed, this individual, is then referred to as an apprentice.
This Core Class has been designed specifically to fulfill 8-hour NY Pesticide Apprentice Training required by the NYDEC.

- Safe Transportation, Storage and Disposal of Pesticides
- The Three C’s of Spill Clean Up
- IPM Control Diseases of Ornamental Shrubs and Turf
- IPM Control Insects of Ornamental Shrubs and Turf
- Environmental Concerns Regarding Pesticide
- Application Equipment
- Sprayer and Spreader Operation, Loading and Calibration
Cost: $175.00
Requirements for ONLINE Classes
- Government issued photo ID is required and will be verified prior to and immediately after the class.
- Attendees must be visible throughout the entire session (with live video on) and must stay to the end.
- Quizzes will be randomly scheduled, & attendance will be visually monitored by a moderator.
- In order to be marked "Present" for this class, every Attendee MUST log-in to the online Class from their own device (PC, or MAC) and use their
own unique email address. Absolutely No Sharing of devices or log-in.
- Call-ins (audio only) are not allowed; you need a computer with *live* video capability.
